Lifeguarding is a very rewarding job.  We like to hire Lifeguards of all ages and backgrounds to help best relate to all the patrons who visit our pool each summer.  Our current Lifeguards range in age from 16 – 65.  We are looking for people who are motivated, like to interact with people, and like to help people.  We have a very fun and engaging team.  We help each other out and foster a very upbeat work environment. Our lifeguards are held to the highest standards and are expected to continuously pay attention to their surroundings and those around them thereby preventing dangerous situations from occurring.  This means attending inservice trainings, management coaching, and being willing to tell people of all ages what to do in a kind and respectful manner.  You will be provided with: all the tools you need to succeed, uniforms, and a group of people who are kind and thoughtful to be around.

Must be 15 years and older
Must be Red Cross Lifeguard Certified (we offer training)
Must pass Town Hiring Process
Work available between May 16 and September 30
Pay Rate Between $15 and $20 per hour based on experience

If you are interested go to the CRCC tab on this website, fill out the Town of Carbondale Employment Application, and return the application and a cover letter via email or in person at the Carbondale Recreation and Community Center to Aquatics Coordinator, Margaret Donnelly.
