Rock Bottom Ranch

Date: May 23, 2022

Time: 10am-1pm

Older Adult Programs

Join Carbondale Parks and Recreation, Senior Matters, and ACES Rock Bottom Ranch Community Programs Coordinator, Kitty Winograd, for a farm tour around ACES at Rock Bottom Ranch and explore the science behind our vegetable production and livestock rotational grazing. We will focus on the natural world and its connection to our food systems and why that connection matters. What we explore together will depend on what is growing and where our animals are around the ranch. The tour will occur on our wide gravel trails. We recommend wearing a sun hat, sun glasses, comfortable walking shores (if walking), and water. Rock Bottom Ranch is a working farm. You may encounter livestock, electric fences, or agricultural equipment at any time. Please do not touch the electric fencing, go beyond any closed gates, or leave the pathway without staff supervision.
