Where My Peeps At Scavenger Hunt

Join Carbondale Parks and Rec for the 6th Annual Where My Peeps At? Scavenger hunt.  New this year is the Little Peeps Hunt.  

Race: Where My Peeps At?
Teams: 2-6 people (Kids welcome but clues are written for High School Level)
Date: Saturday, April 16
Timeline: 9am
Cost: $40 per team (only the team captain needs to register)

Unscramble word clues leading you to 13 different locations. Hunt around the areas reveled to locate pieces of your team’s banner. Once you find thirteen different banner pieces, race back to the Rec and string your banner together spelling out the correct phrase, once the official has verified your banner, race across the finish line to stop your time.

This is a timed event, and the winner is the first to collect all banner pieces and put it together correctly. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Overall; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Best Team Costume; finding the Prize Winning Peep; and a mini prize giveaway for all participants. All teams get to keep their banner and will get a fridge magnet depicting their team photo from the photo booth.

Prizes will be announced at 11:30am (if all teams finish earlier we will begin the prize give away when all teams are finished). Coffee and post-race snacks will be provided. Race is limited to 27 teams so pre-register to guarantee a spot!

Teams: 2-6 kids 7 years and under (at least one adult supervisor per team to guide but not to find items)
Date: Saturday, April 16
Timeline: Check-in at 9:30am (please wait for the Where My Peeps At? racers to take off before checking in); Hunt Starts at 9:45-10am
Cost: $25 per team (only team captain parent needs to register)
Each team will be given a photo sheet with 13 items on it.  The first and easiest item to find will be an Easter Basket. Teams will then hunt around the lawn and park behind the Recreation Center looking for the additional 12 items to fill their Easter Basket.  Each team should have at least one guardian to ensure kids take only one of each item on the sheet.  At the end of the hunt, each team will have one full Easter Basket to share between team members.  The goal of this event is for friendship, sharing, and a fun community event so please make sure the team is good at sharing.

This race only has space for 10 teams so pre-register to guarantee a spot!
