Boys Basketball 2027
REGISTRATION OPENS 11/2 AT 9AM!
Our youth basketball league is back! Practices will begin the week of January 4th and games will start a few weeks later the week of January 18th. The season will end the first week of March.
We have 2 age groups, 3rd– 4th Grade and 5th-6th Grade and will have separate teams for girls and boys.
Teams will practice twice a week, either on Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays. Practices will be held after school for an hour so you can expect them to take place between 3:30 and 7:30 pm. Once games tart teams will have up to 2 games per week.
Practice days and times will ultimately be determined by volunteer coaches, as we want to allow them find something that works with their personal schedule.
Please register for the appropriate age group and the days of the week that work best for you. If you have limited flexibility as far as practice times are concerned please add it to the registration notes.

This course is designed to review and build on skills learned in previous climbing classes, introduce older children to those concepts, and allow students to have fun and build confidence as they progress at their own pace through technical skills practice and technique-focused activities. This course is open to all ability levels. Please note each month is its own session and must be registered for individually.

This is an introductory climbing class for younger children and first-time climbers. This course focuses on building confidence and basic technique through games and fun activities while teaching safe practices, fundamental vocabulary, and an age-appropriate introduction to climbing equipment.

Join Carbondale Parks and Recreation for a trip to Leadville for a historical celebration of the Old West and their rich mining history! There will be over 100 food and craft booths to check out, or you can just stroll along Harrison Avenue, taking in the air and views at 10,000+ feet!

Meeting location for trips: The van will depart from and return to the Carbondale Recreation and Community Center, with additional pick up/drop off locations at Sopris Lodge and Crystal Meadows Senior Housing. If you live up or down valley and the trip is headed that direction, you may be able to arrange a pick up/drop off at a neutral location. Please call the CRCC at 970-510-1290.
Please note that transportation is in standard 15-passenger vans that require mobility for getting in and out. At this time, we are unable to accommodate persons who cannot enter or exit unassisted. The vans are not wheelchair accessible. If you require a seat near the front for mobility, motion sickness, or other reasons, please note this during registration. We will do our best to accommodate when available.

Attention sports lovers: The Carbondale recreation center is offering a 4 day sports camp in which participants will participate in a variety of athletic activities. We will explore the town’s parks and recreational facilities and participate in two activities each day. All equipment will be provided by the Carbondale recreation center.

Join Carbondale Parks and Recreation for a casual day out in Marble! We will check out the Marble Hub, the Marble Gallery, and go to Slow Groovin’ BBQ for lunch! If there is time, we may swing through Redstone on the way home.

PeeWee baseball is back for 2026! This program is designed to introduce preschoolers to baseball. We will focus on the basics of throwing, fielding, and batting and emphasize parental involvement. Program fee includes a baseball glove and bat.
