We will off er a rotating schedule of organized drop-in sports every Early Release Wednesday. Rec Center staff will supervise Dodgeball, Soccer, and Basketball in half of the gymnasium. Included with drop-in fee or valid membership.

Rosybelle Mobile Maker Art Bus
The Rosybelle Mobile Maker Art Bus will be at the Carbondale Recreation and Community Center on select Early Release Wednesdays this fall. A big thanks to Carbondale Arts for providing the bus so that kids can participate for FREE.

Over the last two years we have sent over over 80lbs of candy to troops overseas with Operation Gratitude! Bring your Halloween candy to Rec Center November 1-5 and trade it for day passes!

This is an introductory recreational basketball program for 1st and 2nd grade girls and boys. Participants will learn the fundamentals of passing, dribbling, and shooting, as well as the rules of the game in a fun active environment.

If you have been a good little boy or girl, let Santa know what you would like for Christmas. Write a letter or draw a picture and address it to Santa at the North Pole. Drop it off at Santa’s Mailbox at the Carbondale Recreation and Community Center from December 1-December 20. Make sure to sign your name and address so Santa can write back!
Keep your kids active after school by joining Dodgeball Derivatives. We will explore many different ways to play the game of Dodgeball. Have your kids played Artillery, Shipwreck, Minefield or Last One Standing?

Our leagues are designed to develop kids into fundamentally sound basketball players by teaching them basketball specific skills, teamwork, camaraderie, a strong work ethic, and more.
We offer separate male and female leagues for both 3rd/4th graders & 5th/6th graders. Teams will practice once or twice each week with one or two games per week as well (practices and games are an hour each). The season will culminate with a tournament. All participants will receive a uniform. TEAMS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE AND WILL FILL UP FAST! REGISTER EARLY!

Come on down to the 4th Street Plaza Ice Rink on January’s First Friday for a free Community Party. We will have a fire pit, roast hot dogs and marshmallows, and drink hot chocolate. Ice skate rentals will be available at the Rec Center until 9pm
This program is for more advanced players who are looking to take their skills to the next level without the stress and time commitment of other more competitive hockey programs. Players will work on the fundamentals of the game along with learning and practicing more advanced skills and strategies. Emphasis will be placed on skating, stick-handling, passing, shooting, defense, positioning and most of all fun!
